APIX is a collaborative innovation platform that empowers Financial Institutions to accelerate their innovation journey through collaboration with fintechs and innovators from over 100 countries. It is the first cross-border, open-architecture platform with sandbox and API marketplace capabilities. Major banks, insurers, and regulators use APIX to rapidly discover, test, and evaluate solutions through innovation challenges and hackathons. The platform, initially set up and operated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), was launched in 2018 by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam. It is now owned and operated by Synfindo, a new company formed by LemmaTree (founded by Temasek) and Mastercard.
